Boston Interactive Mobile Campaign
Postcard Design
My company periodically sends out mailers to attract new business. This particular campaign was modeled on the notion that “m. is the new .com,” meaning that mobile websites are the shit. And in order to make potential clients insecure about their mobile presence, we designed our postcards to (purposely) feature an awkwardly shrunk-down version of their site on an iPhone. This campaign had a nice, sleek look to it, which I really enjoyed putting together.

Boston Interactive Ad
Print Advertisement
This was a one-page print advertisement for my web design studio, Boston Interactive. It appeared in a golf tournament brochure in the summer of 2011. I suppose I was in an Apple kind of mood, since I went for a simple image on a white background with minimal text. I couldn't find a stock photo of a cubed golf ball, so I had to create one from scratch. I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Running on Empty Cards
Mini-Cards
In order to promote my webcomic, I had a series of mini-cards printed up. My favorite variations were the three that featured each of the main characters from the comic. As for the tag line on the front… well, that just came to me when I was sending the files off to the printer.
Belmont Shore Rugby Club
T-Shirt Design
From what I hear, my boss at Boston Interactive was big into rugby, so our company is always doing pro bono projects for teams he used to be a part of. One such project I was tasked with was creating a few T-shirt designs for both Belmont Shore and Boston Rugby. This was my grunge design, which makes use of my trademark paint splatter. What do you think?

Boston Interactive Holiday Card
Greeting Card Design
Now this is long story. Whenever the people I work with catch wind that I can draw, they immediately want me to draw them. Now that I’m hilt deep in the design world, I was tasked with creating caricatures of everyone on staff in Illustrator. When Christmas time came around, they decided to create a company holiday card featuring the staff monkeying around with our online gift generator. Naturally, I created the print card and this was the result. Real cute, right?

Little Heroes, Tiny Villains
Comic Book Lettering
Little Heroes, Tiny Villains was an incredibly eclectic mix of genres, and really allowed me to do some really creative things with the lettering. The comic began with adult characters in a dramatic battle, quickly changing to little kids with grown-up minds. As such, I had to balance their sophisticated speech with childish dialogue, using different fonts and balloon styles for each. Definitely a fun project. John Culjak was the creative mind behind it all.
Secret Agent: 49
Comic Book Lettering
This is probably my favorite lettering gig, due mainly to the fact that it was the first time I lettered a color project. Secret Agent: 49 was a series created by John Culjak featuring a meta-human secret agent. The best part of this one was creating the sound effects for the opening action sequence. I’m still proud of the “BOOM” that appears behind the main character. That’s professional-grade right there.
Journey to the End
Comic Book Lettering
Journey to the End, an apocalyptic tale by Kevin Nugent and Rodolfo Buscaglia, began with a man’s conversation with God. This project provided me with the interesting challenge of cramming large amounts of dialogue into small panels. It really pushed my lettering skills to the next level.
Uncle Tickle
Comic Book Lettering
Uncle Tickle was the first lettering gig I landed, which was a comic that centered on a killer clown. The over-the-top violence and bizarre speech patterns really tested my creativity, but it really came together nicely. I even designed a title for the series, as well as a nice credits page, which can you see to the left.
April in Paris Perfume
Magazine Ad Design
This was one of the first things I ever did in Photoshop. My class was given a bunch of photos of models and perfume, and told to make a full-page advertisement out of them. I sketched a few ideas, and then created the collage you to see to the left. Not bad, right?
