A vagabond with no past, Remiel is a man who claims to be a guardian angel who has recently fallen from Heaven. Unfortunately, he has no proof, and therefore, no credibility.
In his first appearance, Remiel stumbles into a hospital with extensive flesh wounds all over his body, including two large gashes on his back. During his recovery, he comes into conflict with Frank Simmons, a rogue soldier bent on human extermination. After surviving the skirmish, Remiel becomes intent on finding a “great evil” that has been released into the world.
During his journey, Remiel befriends a young runaway named Rose who has lost her faith in God, and her hope for a better future. Remiel saves Rose’s life, and continues his quest with her in tow. The duo crosses paths with a variety of other characters, in search of the “great evil.” But is Remiel actually a fallen angel, or simply a religious fanatic recovering from a nervous breakdown?
