What’s up? My name is Daniel Beadle. I'm an interactive designer, writer, and artist who currently works in the greater Boston area.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always been interested in sequential artwork. I made the move to digital media by studying graphic and web design at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University. I learned a range of skills and software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, typography, design trends, new media, and advertising. I also picked up a working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
I currently work for a web design, development, and marketing firm called Boston Interactive as part of its design team. My role as web designer requires me to create the website layouts, graphics, and interactive media for the projects we handle, which are then built by our in-house development team.
I also used to write and illustrate my own webcomic, Running on Empty, which allowed me to explore the possibilities of digital artwork. The jokes were a little in-yer-face, but that’s just my sense of humor. As such, I decided to present the comics on this site dialogue-free. It’s less offensive that way.
Anyway, thanks for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy your stay.
